The Muslim Brotherhood’s “Kill the Jews” Election Platform

The main beneficiary of the Egyptian elections will in all likelihood be the Muslim Brotherhood, whose leaders formed an alliance of convenience with the ruling military council to ensure that the elections would proceed as planned. The Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt’s largest and best-organized political force, wanted no delays that would give opponents the opportunity to catch up with its organizational prowess.

We got a taste of what is to come from the Muslim Brotherhood’s co-sponsored “kill the Jews” pep rally held last Friday in Cairo. According to a report in YNet News, about 5,000 people joined the rally at Cairo’s most prominent mosque, the Al-Azhar mosque. Over and over again, the crowd chanted passages from the Koran vowing that “one day we shall kill all the Jews.” More

This is nothing new. In the constitutional referendum held in March, the Muslim Brotherhood handed out food (including meat by the kilogram) and money to those who voted "yes" in accordance with their wishes. Congressmen Cross 'Green Line' in Biblical Heartland

JERUSALEM, Israel -- U.S. dignitaries frequently visit Israel. But one recent congressional delegation went where none had gone before.

Five U.S. congressmen and their wives traveled to Israel for an official visit across what's been known as the "green line."

This congressional tour is the first delegation of U.S. congressmen to visit Judea and Samaria, Israel's biblical heartland.

And it happened despite a long-standing State Department policy to avoid these areas. More

Israel: Lion or Lamb?

As military analyst Yaakov Katz wrote recently in The Jerusalem Post, “Something has changed in Israel.” Once, it was renowned for daring military operations like the 1972 capture of five Syrian intelligence officers, the 1976 raid on the hijacked aircraft at Entebbe Airport in Uganda, and even as recently as 2007, the airstrike on a Syrian nuclear reactor. Today – following the Gilad Schalit swap last month for more than 1,000 convicted Palestinian terrorists – it is perceived by many as a country that caves to the arrogant demands of its enemies.

With Iran on the verge of acquiring the nuclear capability it needs to, as Ahmadinejad is fond of saying, “wipe Israel from the map,” many wonder if Israel is considering a possible preemptive military strike. But is Israel the country it once was? These days it seems it can barely push back against the Obama administration’s pressure to negotiate with Hamas and return to indefensible borders. Does an Israel that seemingly surrendered to the demands of terrorists have what it takes to neutralize the looming threat of a nuclear-weaponized Iran? More

‘US Democracy’ Set to Elect Second Mideast Terrorist Party

For the second time in six years, the United States has urged Mideast elections, and for the second time, a terrorist party is likely to win.

In 2005, then-U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was awakened in the middle of the night with shocking news that was no surprise to Israel – the Hamas terrorist organization had won the first-ever democratic legislative elections in the Palestinian Authority.

A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing: The Victory of the Islamist Justice and Development Party in Morocco

The Justice and Development Party (Hizb Al-Adala Wa At-tanmia), which is identified with the Muslim Brotherhood, has won the elections in Morocco held on 26 November 2011. The party said in an official announcement that, according to not-yet-final results, it had won over 100 of the 395 parliamentary seats. According to a constitutional amendment, King Mohammed VI will have to assign the task of forming the government to the leader of the largest party – Abdelilah Benkirane, head of the Justice and Development Party.

This party is the political wing of the Uniqueness and Reform movement which represents the Muslim Brotherhood in Morocco. Its victory constitutes a further triumph for the Islamist movement in the context of the “Arab Spring,” so soon after the victory of the Ennahda movement in the Tunisian elections. More

After elections, Muslim Brotherhood plans anti-American line, support for PA against Israel

The Muslim Brotherhood, which is poised to win the first stage of elections in Egypt Monday, is already planning for the day after the elections – and the plan does not look good, from an Israeli perspective. The organization intends to cause Egypt to adopt an anti-American line and to support the Palestinian Authority (PA) in its terrorist war against Israel, according to Arutz Sheva Arab affairs expert Dalit Halevy.

The Muslim Brotherhood party's platform defines the "Palestinian problem" as "the most serious problem in terms of Egypt's national security" because "the Zionist entity is racist, seeks to build settlements and expand, is aggressive, possesses weapons of mass destruction, has caused many wars in the region, influenced the geographical, political, social and economic situation and torpedoed plans for development." Jew-hatred heats up as Islamic Winter grows colder

In our current issue Israel Today discusses the causes and ramifications of the Arab Spring-turned-Islamic Winter. One of the obvious outcomes is that the kind of seething hatred for Israel that is official policy in Iran will spread to the rest of the region. It is already happening in Egypt.

Israel and Egypt have always had a cold relationship, despite the fact that the two nations have officially been at peace since 1979. Israel and the Jews in general were regularly demonized in the Egyptian media during these years of “peace.”
