Senator Schumer: Settlements No Obstacle to Peace

Senator Chuck (Charles) Schumer took the Obama administration to task for its Middle East policy on Sunday. What Obama must realize is that Arab refusal to recognize the Jewish state, and not Israelis in Judea and Samaria, is the obstacle to peace, he said.

Preposterous: UN Org, Rachel's Tomb is a Mosque

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) voted recently to officially declare Rachel's Tomb to be a mosque. UNESCO director Irena Bokova had previously stated “concern” at Israel's decision to treat the tomb as a heritage site.

The vote called for Rachel's Tomb and the Tomb of the Patriarchs – the burial site of the other Biblical Patriarchs and Matriarchs – to be removed from Israel's National Heritage list. More

A Christian Response to Synod Declaration on the Chosen People

Recently a Catholic synod led by Archbishop Cyril Salim Bustros declared that the promise made by G-d to Abraham and his descendants to give them the land of Israel was abolished by Jesus.  Specifically, Archbishop Bustros declared that “For Christians, one can no longer talk of the land promised to the Jewish people…. Bill to Grant Jerusalem Priority Status

Deputy Minister Charges Archbishop with Anti-Jewish ’Libel’

He called on the Vatican to distance itself from the “libel” in remarks by U.S. Archbishop Cyrille Bustros, a Lebanese native who chaired the Synod committee that summarized its criticism of a Jewish presence in united Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.
