The Ground Zero Mosque – First You Bomb and Then You Occupy

Did you know that downtown Manhattan has a huge Muslim population. That’s right, a Muslim population so huge that it can only be serviced by a 100 million dollar mosque to be constructed in a 13 story building.

With that kind of project, you would have to assume that there’s a local Muslim community in the tens of thousands that need to be served by a Muslim center. In fact there is no such community. The existing local mosques, including a nondescript metal door stamped Masjid, 5 blocks from Ground Zero, mainly cater to vendors selling burned meat from stores and carts, the “Halal Mafia” who insist on sending waves of foul smelling black smoke everywhere in their vicinity and are known to violently assault other vendors who want to do business in their vicinity. The ‘Free Gaza Movement’ Convoy: Humanitarians or Camera-Seekers?

Revealing their true nature, leaders of a massive convoy looking for a confrontation with the IDF say they won't bring aid to kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

The Israeli government, after a short period of debate, decided that it will intercept the convoy as it has done with other ships heading for Gaza — enforcing the blockade established in 2007 in coordination with the Egyptians after the ascent of Hamas to power. The IDF announced that the ships will be stopped by the Israeli navy, boarded, and then escorted to Ashdod, where the cargo will be unloaded and then transferred to Gaza.

Indeed — depressingly, but unsurprisingly — the humanitarian commitment of those aboard the “Freedom Flotilla” does not extend to Gilad Shalit. It doesn’t even sound like they spent much time debating the offer. Almost immediately after the Israeli media announced that it had been extended, it was refused, in keeping with their support of a regime that has held Shalit for four years under conditions that violate international law. White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel was photographed as he appeared to shed a tear at the Kotel (Western Wall) Thursday (see photos below).

President Shimon Peres hosted Emanuel with his wife Amy and their children, Zach (13), Ilana (11) and Leah (10) in the Presidential Residence Thursday. Peres gave presents to Emanuel's wife and children and taught Zach, who is in Israel to celebrate his Bar Mitzvah, a lesson about the weekly Torah portion. More

Netanyahu to Visit Obama Again

Round three: President Obama, with sinking popularity, is set to invite Prime Minister Netanyahu to the White House for the third time in a year.

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who is using a private visit to Israel to try to repair relations with the government, will meet with Netanyahu on Wednesday, when he is expected to deliver the official invitation. He also will meet with President Shimon Peres and possibly with Defense Minister Ehud Barak. More

Persecution in Egypt brings church members to TN

The Egyptian Christians live quietly, often gathering at the same places, a group persecuted in their Muslim-dominated homeland and granted asylum in the United States. In Middle Tennessee, they've grown from about 100 in the early 1990s to about 4,000 people today. One small Coptic church grew to four.

Last week’s uranium deal maneuver between Iran, Brazil and Turkey demonstrates how traditional US allies have decided that there’s no profit in lining up with a president given to apologies and appeasement.

It is perfectly obvious that Iran’s latest uranium maneuver, brokered by Brazil and Turkey, is a ruse. Iran retains more than enough enriched uranium to make a bomb. And it continues enriching at an accelerated pace and to a greater purity (20 percent). Which is why the French Foreign Ministry immediately declared that the trumpeted temporary shipping of some Iranian uranium to Turkey will do nothing to halt Iran’s nuclear program. More

US Consulate staff involved in Jerusalem beating of young Israeli man

A young Israeli man who was brutally beaten in downtown Jerusalem earlier this month revealed to The Jerusalem Post that his assailants were apparently employees of the US Consulate in the Israeli capital.

The young man, who identified himself only by his first name, Yishai, said the attack occurred as he and a friend stepped out of a downtown bar where they were celebrating another friend's birthday to buy some cigarettes.

When Yishai's friends demanded to know why those who had perpetrated an unprovoked and brutal attack were simply allowed to walk free, one officer revealed that the attackers were employees of the US Consulate, and so enjoy diplomatic immunity. More
